Emma Jean Allen
August 21, 1947 ~ February 13, 2026 (age 78)
On, Friday, February 13, 2026 in the early morning hours at Jackson Madison County Hospital, our God sent an angel down to bring back the soul of one of His beloved daughter home to rest until that “GREAT DAY."
Her burial service was held on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 1:30 pm at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads. Dixie Funeral Home, www.dixiefuneralhome.com, was in charge of the professional service.
Emma Jean Minter Allen- (she preferred to be called "Jean") was born August 27, 1947 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie Nelson & Phoebe Rooks Minter in Whiteville, TN.
She's had two sisters. Lillie and Sallie and six brothers, Japhet, Robert, William, Levarn, Lonnell and Leon, all preceded her in death.
Emma confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Simon Chapel Baptist Church where her membership remained until her death.
Emma was a 1965 graduate of Allen-White High School in Whiteville, TN.
A month after graduation, she joined the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam and Germany.
Upon returning to the states, Emma was employed at the Memphis Defense Army Depot. Her present employer was at the Hardeman County Board of Education.
She was employed with the state of Tennessee for more than 20 years.
Emma leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Mr. Sidney Clark of Kansas City MO, and Mr. Devin Morrow of Stevens City, VA,; one daughter, Ms. Tarea Peters; six grandchildren, Sydney, Xavier, Josiah, JaMaurice, JaTaris, and Javaris; eight great grandchildren, Legend; Layla, Madisyn, Makyelin, Mia, Makyra, Jasire, and Jamir all of Whiteville, TN; one sister, Mrs. Linda (Viscen) Morrow of Whiteville, TN and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
