James Lee Macon passed away on Wednesday February 11, 2026 in Jackson. He was born on October 6, 1950 to the late Mary Louise Macon.
His funeral service was held on Sunday March 1, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Blaylock in charge. Burial was in the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professionals service.
He was raised in Bolivar and at a young age professed a hope in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Olive MB Church.
He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the during the Vietnam War era.
He was well known for being a good cook and playing his guitar.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one son, Anthony Mann; and his sisters, Knoxie Mae Mckinnie and Ethel Mae Fitzhugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Damon and Jamarion Macon; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
